    Thank you I tried this and couldn't delete the whole folder as it said some items e.g cache, were in use - but I had no programmes open.

    I just noticed this in the 'what's new' updates

    10 Dec 2020 - new look when you join a meeting.....on the left you'll get a preview of your video and a setting to turn on background effects.

    I don't have this option at all.

    Thanks for your reply.

    You can try to do the following steps to clean Teams cache to see if it helps.

    ·  Quit Microsoft Teams if it show on the status bar.

    ·  Copy and paste the following location (%appdata%\Microsoft\Teams) into File Explorer.

    ·  Delete contents of the entire folder.

    ·  Restart Microsoft Teams.

    Any update will be appreciated.

    This has stopped working and before I join a call I do not have access to the background options as I had previously.

    Hello JoMiles2,

    Please click on More Actions, and then click on Apply Background Effects.

    If you are not seeing this option, then might be you are using an older version of MS Teams. Please try to Update the MS Teams.
