Teams work & school not allowing me to share my screen?

Hi, I've just done the switch from classic to work & school, & it's causing me issues.

I can no longer give consent to share my screen / recordings, despite doing this several times in my privacy settings. Meaning I can't present (I'm a teacher so have really come unstuck!!)

The privacy settings in my Mac are still with Teams Classic, so no matter how many times I give consent, it's for the classic version, not the school & work version that is installed.. can anyone help please?

this is great information! and thank you so much for clarifying this issue with all of us

I have the same problem - do you refer to Microsoft (work preview) to Microsoft (Work & School) - or do we need to add also Microsoft (work preview)?

I am a online instructor and I am following your prompts -

    thank you!

Doesn't work with Monterey at all … no chance to bring it to work! But since you ended support for "Teams (classic)" we are forced to use the new one. But it's just useless if you can't share the screen!!! What can we do here? Classic worked just fine! The new Version is lame AF needs endless time to start and is not half as stable as the classic version. Is MS Software for Mac going back to be useless???

    PLEASE: H E L P ! ! !

yes this does not work at all, loop We need permission to share your screen

Go to Security & Privacy > Screen Recording to give permission and start sharing. I am a long time IT Support engineer and this is a problem with Monterey. I cannot as well take all 30 of my Monterey Desktops and move to Sonoma, as we have some client specific apps that are not tested with the lates OS

    Hello Annie,

My name is EngineTyme, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you and I would be glad to help you.

I understand that you are unable to share screen in Teams meeting.

Users can enable screen sharing for sharing content on call and in meetings using the regular in-app flow when they first try to screen share, but this requires they restart new Teams. The user needs to drop from the meeting. Alternatively, users can turn on permissions for screen recording under system settings.

    For Monterey OS:

Open macOS System Preferences. Go to Security & Privacy > Privacy tab > Screen Recording. Select the + sign to add Microsoft Teams (work Preview) to allow recording content of your screen.

For macOS Ventura Go to Privacy & Security > Screen Recording.  Switch the toggle for Microsoft Teams (work preview) to Allow recording of the content of your screen.
