Connecting Teams calendars with external services like Outlook for unified scheduling
Hi PWJ,
Thanks for contacting us,
I'm glad you asked me how to stop Teams from automatically adding meetings to Outlook Calendar.
- One way to stop Teams from automatically adding meetings to Outlook Calendar is to turn off the option to add online meeting to all events in Outlook's Calendar settings. This option is often activated by default through either the Microsoft Teams or Zoom Outlook integrations⁶. To turn off this option, you can follow these steps:
- In Outlook, go to **Settings** > **View all Outlook settings**.
- Select **Calendar** > **Events and invitations**.
- Uncheck the box for **Add online meeting to all events**.
- Click **Save**.
- Another way to stop Teams from automatically adding meetings to Outlook Calendar is to disable the Teams Meeting add-in for Microsoft Office in Outlook. This will prevent Outlook from creating or displaying the Teams Meeting link in your new or existing events. To disable the add-in, you can follow these steps:
- In Outlook, go to **File** > **Options** > **Add-ins**.
- Select the **Manage** drop-down list and choose **COM Add-ins**. Click **Go**.
- Uncheck the box for **Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-in for Microsoft Office**.
- Click **OK** and restart Outlook.
I hope this helps!
Regards, Sola
