How to Permanently Delete a Private Channel in Teams

We have reached the 30 private channel limit within Teams. Private channels deleted more than 30 days ago (some more than a year ago) still remain in the deleted channels area. Is it possible to completely remove them so that they don't count towards the 30 private channel limit?
