Opening, sharing, and managing OneDrive-stored documents directly within Teams
Dear Emiel,
Thank you for your post regarding the issue with downloading the transcript from your Teams meeting recording.
Since you’ve successfully downloaded transcripts in the past and are now encountering issues with both the .docx and .vtt options, here are a few steps you can try before escalating the issue:
- Try a different browser (e.g., Edge, Chrome, Firefox) to rule out browser-specific issues.
- Clear your browser cache or use an incognito/private window.
- Ensure you’re signed in with the correct account that has access to the recording and transcript.
- Check OneDrive permissions to confirm the file hasn’t been moved or restricted.
- Try accessing the file from the Teams meeting chat or the original calendar invite, if available.
If the issue persists after these checks, this may indicate a temporary issue with OneDrive or a permissions/configuration problem on the backend. As community support, our ability to troubleshoot this type of issue is limited, especially without access to your environment or the full error details. In this case, I recommend that your Microsoft 365 administrator raise a support ticket directly with the Microsoft Support team via the admin portal.
Microsoft Support can provide more in-depth assistance, including screen sharing and backend diagnostics, to help identify and resolve the issue effectively.
Thanks for your patience and cooperation. Should any uncertainties arise subsequently, please feel free to seek assistance once again.
Best regards,
