    Hello Elena,

Thank you for posting to the Microsoft community.

Microsoft Teams is designed to reflect your actual activity automatically. It shows "Available" when you're actively using your computer, then auto-switches to "Away" after a period of inactivity or if your device goes to sleep. If you've manually set a status for example Be Right Back, that override persists until you rest it, even if you resume activity.

If your status is stuck, for example when you return to your desk and it remains "Away", you can manually reset your status. To do this, click on your profile picture, select your current status and then choose the "Reset status" option.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, you can clear the Teams Cache as this correctly synchronizes your Teams with Microsoft server. To clear cache,

    Clear Teams cache in Windows

    1. If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the taskbar, and then select Quit.
    2. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key  +R.
    3. In the Run dialog box, enter %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, and then select OK.
    4. Delete all files and folders in the %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams directory.
    5. Restart Teams.

    Clear Teams cache in macOS

    1. If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon in the dock, and then select Quit, or press Command (⌘)-Q.
    2. In the Finder, open the /Applications/Utilities folder, and then double-click Terminal.
    3. Enter the following command, and then press Return:

    rm -r ~/Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams

    1. Restart Teams.

Hope this helps you and let me know if you need further help and assistance.

    Best Regards,
