"we're having trouble loading your messages" ALL of my chats

Morning all,

Today I was reviewing my assignments and I found a issue I'm not able to see my pdf files. There is a message in the chat of a periodic meeting
"we're having trouble loading your messages" for ALL of my chats

I've scoured the Googles, tried what was suggested to no avail. Here's what was attempted:

  1. Refreshing
  2. Restarting Teams
  3. Clearing Teams Cache
  4. Loading Teams in different browsers (again, no change)
  5. Clear Browser Caches and ensuring third party cookies are accepted
  6. Reinstalling Teams - Teams does not uninstall correctly: the shortcut remains, as does its entry among installed applications, but launching the app from the shortcut does nothing
7.5. Trying to get Teams from the MS Store throws an error.
  7. Tried loading the Teams account in a complete different network environment, on a different machine (iphone, mac and lenovo), in the desktop app and in Chrome, and the same problem.

Could someone help me? Please

Thanks

    Hello, Juanita

Thank you for reaching out Microsoft Community. I am an advisor that can provide help regarding Teams concerns. I totally understand that you were not able to open PDF files uploaded in your Teams and getting an error message. I do appreciate your effort in trying to troubleshoot the issue on your end before reaching to us. I do apologize for all the inconvenience.

I suspect that the issue here is with the PDF file itself. It is on the uploader ends. There are 2 reasons why you cannot open the file. It is Either corrupted or the file is too large and exceed the limit of your Channels capacity. If it is possible, you can request the uploader to send it to your Outlook Emails directly to check if it will work. Also, the PDF viewer on other Android phones and IOS phones are limited. If the file is too large, it will take time before it will load properly.

If you wish to properly uninstall and reinstall your Teams app, please do these:

On a Windows PC Uninstall Teams:

Open the Control Panel (you can search for it in the Start menu). Select Programs > Programs and Features. Scroll through the list to find Microsoft Teams. Select it and then click Uninstall. Follow the prompts to complete the uninstallation. Remove leftover files:

Open a File Explorer window. Go to %AppData% by typing it in the address bar and pressing Enter. Delete the Microsoft and Teams folders if they exist. Go to %LocalAppData% and do the same. Reinstall Teams:

Download the latest version of Microsoft Teams from the official Microsoft website: https://www.microsoft.com/en/microsoft-teams/download-app?rtc=1&market=afRun the installation file and follow the on-screen instructions.

On a Mobile Phone (Android/iOS) Uninstall Teams:

Android: Go to Settings > Apps or Applications > Microsoft Teams. Tap Uninstall and confirm. iOS: On the home screen, press and hold the Microsoft Teams app icon. Tap Remove App or the minus symbol, then confirm by tapping Delete App. Reinstall Teams:

Android: Open the Google Play Store, search for Microsoft Teams, and then tap Install. iOS: Open the App Store, search for Microsoft Teams, and tap Get, then Install. Reinstalling Teams this way ensures a fresh installation, potentially resolving any issues that may have been caused by corrupted or outdated files.

Please let me know if these information answered the concern and helped us to resolve the issue. Give back to the Community. Help the next person who has this issue by indicating if this reply solved your problem. Click Yes or No below.

    Kind regards, Kevin

Please try to open your account using the Web version on your PC or Mobile device. It will help us to determine if the issue occur only in the app or it is an issue with the Teams server.

Open your web browser and visit https://teams.live.com

Please update me anytime. Thank you.

    Hi Kevin,

I'm not the original poster, but I'm having the same issue - and it happens whether I'm in the web version, or Windows PC app. It does NOT however seem to occur in the iPhone app.
