    Hello Johannes K,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. My name is Eunice, and I'm happy to help.

I am sorry you are experiencing this issue with saving an Excel sheet directly to a synced SharePoint folder. The error message suggests that Excel is unable to access the folder. Here are a few potential solutions:

    1. Check permissions: Ensure you have written permissions for the SharePoint folder. Try saving the file as a different user or check the folder's permissions settings.
    2. Sync issues: Try restarting the SharePoint sync client or checking the sync status to ensure it's up-to-date.
    3. Excel settings: Check Excel's settings: File > Options > Save > Save files in this format > select "Excel Workbook (*.xlsx)"
    4. File path length: SharePoint has file path length limits. Try shortening the file name or folder path.
    5. Excel add-ins: Disable any Excel add-ins that might be interfering.

Since saving to another location and then copying/pasting works, it suggests an issue specific to Excel's interaction with the synced SharePoint folder. Try the above steps to help resolve the issue.

Let me know if you need more help.

    Regards, Eunice
