No "share in teams" option in Powerpoint

I have a Mac. My apps are up to date.

I want to use PowerPoint Live in Teams. These are my problems:

  1. Even when I have both Teams and PowerPoint open, I do not have a "share in teams" button in Powerpoint (just Record, Comments and Share -- and the only 'share' option is OneDrive), so I can't get the file into PowerPoint Live that way.
  2. In Teams, under sharing, I do have the PowerPoint Live option -- but the only file listed there is one I last used a few years ago, and I don't remember ever using PPT Live then.
  3. I then use the 'upload from computer' option to get my file in. That's slow, but eventually works. But if I close the presentation, or close Teams and start a new session, the file I just uploaded still doesn't show up under PowerPoint Live. Yet if I select "upload from computer" again, a message tells me the file already exists and asks if I want to copy or replace. No matter which I choose, it appears to upload the file all over again.

    If the understanding above is right, we've done a quick test in PowerPoint desktop app version 2407 and PowerPoint web app in browser, and we cannot reproduce a similar situation on our side. Below are the screenshots of our test for your reference:

    Given this, to help you better and for the further troubleshoot, we would like to collect more detailed information you're experiencing so that we can have a further investigation:

    1. Are you having issue with PowerPoint desktop app or PowerPoint web app, will they encounter a similar situation?
    2. Is the account signed in Office app same as the account in Microsoft Teams?
    3. Please take some screenshots of the issue encountered and share with us.
    4. If having issue with PowerPoint desktop app, please also share your Office version by going to Word > File > Account and take a screenshot as shown below? Image
    5. What about the other users in your organization, will they encounter a similar situation with PowerPoint Live in Teams?
