Storing documents locally or in cloud services from within Teams

As per your description, it seems that you are having issue with PowerPoint Live in Microsoft Teams.
If the understanding above is right, we've done a quick test in PowerPoint desktop app version 2407 and PowerPoint web app in browser, and we cannot reproduce a similar situation on our side. Below are the screenshots of our test for your reference:

Given this, to help you better and for the further troubleshoot, we would like to collect more detailed information you're experiencing so that we can have a further investigation:
- Are you having issue with PowerPoint desktop app or PowerPoint web app, will they encounter a similar situation?
- Is the account signed in Office app same as the account in Microsoft Teams?
- Please take some screenshots of the issue encountered and share with us.
- If having issue with PowerPoint desktop app, please also share your Office version by going to Word > File > Account and take a screenshot as shown below?
- What about the other users in your organization, will they encounter a similar situation with PowerPoint Live in Teams?
Meanwhile, please Clear the Teams cache - Microsoft Support to check the outcome. If the issue still persists, please share your operating system version and Teams version with us.
