Hello,

There are two editions of Teams.

Teams for Home: This is when you use personal Microsoft account.

Teams for Work or School: This is when you use your work or school account.

You cannot use personal account on Teams for Work or School edition. If you are trying to join a meeting hosted by a user from an organization, and you don't have an organization account, then you have to go to the web browser, use private mode, paste the meeting link to open the page. When it asks if you want to use app, don't use it. continue to use the web browser. When it offers you to sign in, don't either. Then you will be able to input your desired display name get into meeting.
