Unpublishing the "Home page" in Teams Classroom

I use Teams classroom. Now that they have added a "Home Page," my students land there instead of the General channel, which is where I have posted things. Can I unpublish the Home page so they don't see it? It's confusing them because it is not personalized to this course. And I don't really have time to customize the homepage across my program.

Unfortunately, as of now, there isn't a direct way to unpublish the Home page in Teams Classroom so that students don't see it. Microsoft designed the Home page to provide a centralized hub for students, but it can sometimes lead to confusion if it's not tailored to a specific course.

Pinning the General channel to the top of your team's channels list will make it the first thing students see when they open the team. This can help guide them to the content you've posted.
Regularly post announcements in the General channel to inform students about important updates or assignments. This can help them stay on track and minimize confusion.
If you need to share specific resources or tools with your students, you can create a custom tab in the General channel. This can help keep things organized and easily accessible.
In your course syllabus or announcements, explicitly guide students to the General channel for important information. This can help them understand where to look for updates.

While these workarounds may not be ideal, they can help mitigate the confusion caused by the Home page.
