Hello,

I created a classnotbook in Microsoft Teams to serve as a portfolio for students' work. Unfortunately, they can't upload their files into the folder under their name?

Can you give more suggestion how to create a private space for each student where they can't view eachother's content using classnotebook?

Hello Arwa,

I'm Ibhadighi and I'd happily help you with your question. In this forum, we are Microsoft consumers just like yourself.

In Microsoft Class Notebook within Teams, each student automatically gets a private section that only the student and the teacher can view. To ensure students can upload their files into the correct section in Class Notebook, follow these steps:

  1. Verify that the students have the correct permissions to edit their own sections. As a teacher, you can adjust these permissions.
  2. Teach the students how to navigate to their section. They need to click on the Class Notebook tab in Teams, select their name, and then navigate to the appropriate section or page within their space.
  3. Instruct students on how to insert files. They can go to the Insert tab within the OneNote app and choose to insert documents or pictures.
  4. Make sure that the students' OneNote is synced correctly. Sometimes, if there is a sync issue, the content they upload might not appear immediately.
  5. If there's a persistent technical issue, advise them to try accessing Class Notebook through OneNote for the web or the desktop app.

I hope this helps.

Best Regards, Ibhadighi

Thank you very much for your reply and the steps. However, from where can I adjust the permission of students' roles as it says step No. 1?

    Much appreciated,

    Arwa
