Teams and Onedrive automatically convert text to Bold

    Hi dabbleLab,

    I go through the post carefully, I test on my side, however text are not bold when I open files that are saved in OneDrive, here are some suggestions:

    1. Please make sure you are using latest version of Office, update Office from File>Account.
    2. If you are opening Word document, move Normal.dotm file save in C:\Users*user name*\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates to desktop, then open the document again and check the result. If this doesn’t work, you may restore the normal.dotm document.

    We appreciate your understanding that sometimes the initial suggestions may not resolve the problem very soon. However, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation. So, Please kindly provide more information below to let us work further.

    1. What is your Office version? you may check it from File>Account page.
    2. Does the issue happen on all documents that saved in Teams/OneDrive?
    3. Does the issue happen if you download and save the file to local?
    4. Can you  unbold the text in document?

    This happens in Teams and for OneDrive files online in a browser, not with files I open in Word on desktop. It doesn't happen all the time, only when I upload to Teams or I open a doc someone reviewed in OneDrive online.

    Hi dabbleLab,

    Thanks for your updates. it seems that the issue doesn’t happen when you open the file in Word desktop app. To check if the issue caused by changed word format, may I know what if you open the same document from word desktop, is the text get bold? Additionally, could you please share a screenshot on the issue with us?
