MS Teams Status shows 'Away' when I have logged off ALL devices (including mobile) not 'Offline'

Hi

I have recently come across this issue, with me personally, that when I log off Teams on all my mobile devices, and desktop app, etc, my status stays 'Away'. I would like it to say 'Offline' when I am not logged in.

Any solutions?

It used to work, but then I logged into my Amazon Fire Tablet, logged back out again and it says 'Away' even when I am Offline!

Any help would be grateful!

Thank you

Hi Joseph15_,

Thanks for your post in here. In Microsoft Teams, when users aren't logged in to Teams on any of their devices for a few minutes, they appear offline.

Moreover, your current presence state changes to Away when you lock your computer or when your computer enters idle or sleep mode. On a mobile device, your presence status changes to Away whenever the Teams app is in the background.

So, regarding your concerns, if you would like your status show as “Offline", please kindly check and ensure you have signed out your account from Teams on all devices, then wait for a few minutes to check the result.

Here are some documents for your reference:

Best regards,

Jennifer

I am also facing same kind of problem.

When I shutdown my laptop, still my colleague and team members are able to see me as a available. This is ridiculous and may create some kind of negative image within in team.

If a system is shutdown then team status should change into logoff.
