Teams and class note book not syncing on iPad

Hi there, 

I am a teacher using microsoft office and anytime I try and create an assignment through teams and link the onenote to the assignment the onenote shows up as ‘something went wrong please try again later’. I created the class onenote through the teams app. I tried resetting the OneNote and teams in settings, I also closed class notebook and reopened it again (couldnt reopen it through teams because it still wasnt showing up). OneNote and Teams are linked on my macbook but not on the ipad so I can create an assignment on my laptop and link the onenote but not on the ipad. Ive attached a screenshot of thr message that appears below. Please note also that I am writing to you using my personal account, not the schools account. Thanks!

    Hi Iseult,

    Thanks for the clarification, it seems that you cannot open the class notebook in your team, and this also caused an error when you trying to create an assignment and add notebook resource.

    Given that only you have the problem, you can ask the team owner to remove you from the team and then add you again to see if you can open the class notebook.

    If that still cannot solve the problem, you may need to contact your school IT admin to report the problem for further assistance, admins can raise a ticket escalate the issue if necessary: Ways to contact support for business products - Admin Help

    When I try and create an assignment through teams ans add the onenote as a resource this is what happens

    Hi Arck, 

    Thanks for getting back to me. I tried to do it through the browser aswell - safari, firefox and Chrome but the message still shows up. No other teachers have this problem to my knowledge. I add the resource the same way youre doing above. The OneNote just doesn’t seem to be linked with my Teams. The message shows up when I try and link the notebook to the assignment.

    Hi Iseult,

    Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community, I'm glad to offer help.

    Generally, when creating/editing an assignment, teachers can click the "Add resources" button and select "Class Notebook" to link a specific page to this assignment.

     

    In your case, may I which step you saw the error? You can try to open Teams via Safari or other web browser on your iPad to see if there will be any difference.

    And if there are other teachers in the same team, you can ask them to check whether they have the same problem.

    Besides, if the way you add a page of the class notebook to the assignment is different from the above, please describe how you added it, it would be helpful for us to better understand you situation, your understanding will be highly appreciated.
