Spilled a bit of water on Surface Book keyboard

I accidentally spilled a bit of water on my surface book keyboard, but I didn’t think anything happened to the laptop so I kept using it. Everything has been working fine, but every now and then the laptop does a thing where it disconnects from the keyboard (like a “disattachment”) and then connects back again. Should I be worried?? It charges fine still.. Please let me know.

Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.

Yes, it’s something you should be concerned about. Even if your Surface Book still works, the keyboard disconnecting every now and then could mean there’s some water damage. It might not be obvious now, but it can get worse over time. It’s best to have it checked soon to avoid more problems or losing any data.

I really hope this information is helpful!

Should you need further information please let me know.
