I was pushed the SSU and LCU for Microsoft Windows 11 24H2 for x64 systems KB5062553 and of course want the SSU package but have learned to be suspicious of returning to using my machine after LCU packages are processed. I am spending 10-15 hours restoring my computer after each push. So what I am in for now? What should I be looking for? Right now I expect MS OneCloud to repopulate persistently after the many steps to hide. I also expect Mozilla VPN to be disabled. I also expect pushes of Co-Pilot that I need to remove and further bugs of Intune for access to a clients' domain peering into my personal accounts of Office 365.

You might be able to use GPedit to disable OneDrive and CoPilot. Not sure it can help with your VPN.
Some major updates can over rule gpedit.
Are you admin on multi-computers or is it for one computer?

I had read the KB and found not any impacting new features, truly a valued SSU Security Release.
The update did not take - Failed to install on 7/9/2025 - 0x800f0845 - and the hex error did not reveal enough information for me. The Rollback was automatic and believe me, rollbacks are hard so I was tremendously impressed with MS rollback execution. Restored, I have only found two data settings broken. My personal MS profile was removed from Edge (not any of the stored passwords) and for some reason flagged messages in desktop outlook were removed.
I will pursue the update for at least the SSU and will give feedback on both the re-attempt and the GPEdit prior to re-processing the update. There have been 3 other One Cloud and two other Co-Pilot fixes I have tried before.
I turned of auto updates due to pending screen captures, storage to MS Cloud for AI use in future. Most of the security holes were fixed but I want to wait until the pioneers have worked with MS developers on this feature.
I also turned of auto updates due to since last summer, the updates have been taking 10-15 hours after deployment to restore use and settings on my PC. This push was only 3 hours so, I will count this as a win.
There is little information on error code 0x800f0845, I always run DISM and sfc if ever I have an issue.
I also run Insider builds which can error out a bit, so I delete the WU download folder contents, run the two tools DISM and sfc and that generally fixes the WU issues.
3rd party anti-virus can also upset WUs, so I only use Windows security these days.
Which version of Windows 11 Pro are you using, type winver in search and open that app.
