Why does the app have a "scan receipt" option at the top of the app if it is no longer available?

I see at the top of the app a clickable that says scan receipt but it doesn't seem to have that option anymore so my inquiry is why is that there?

Are you referring to the scan receipt option in the Microsoft Start app? If so, have you updated it to the latest version? The scan receipt program was discontinued on July 25, 2024, so it is possible that what you are seeing is an old interface. I believe the app has been updated and has returned to being the MSN app once again. Please check if you have installed the latest one to reflect the changes.
