Microsoft Viva Engage Notifications (Email)

  • I have recently created a community using Viva Engage.
The community is set to Public, as I want people to be able to "openly" come in and join the community via it being embedded on a SharePoint page.

We started noticing that the 504 people in our organisation are now getting random mails such as

"Discover trending activity in your organization"

I would like to disable this on a tenant level/admin level, however when searching for information, the previous Admin center is not there anymore, the new one doesn't contain anything that looks like it's possible.

For now, I have made the community Private, as it seems it will only bother the 5 people inside the community, but id like to eventually be able to open it again, as i do not want to approve every single new user, or be a blocker for people to join the community.

Do you have any valid solutions which does not involve:

  1. Powershell on individual users
  2. Ask users to change their notifications
