Bing Ads - Imports from Google Ads - A way to stop the imports changing the status of existing campaigns

Hi there,

We use Bing Ads scheduled imports from Google Ads.  But if we have a campaign in Bing from a previous import that is set to "paused" in Bing Ads, future scheduled imports are overwriting this if the campaign is enabled in Google Ads, so it becomes enabled in Bing Ads.  I can see why this is needed, but what if we want to keep a specific campaign paused in Bing Ads but active in Google Ads - is there a way a setting could be applied to say "do not overwrite campaign status on import for existing (Bing) campaigns"?  If this does not exist as an option, could it be added as feature request please?  Thanks

Hi ClearDesign,

Welcome to our new Microsoft Advertising Forum!

I understand from your question that you would like to stop campaign statuses from updating with when using scheduled imports. Don't worry we are here to help!

I am happy to confirm that this feature is already available within your settings of your scheduled imports. The specific settings is in the 'What to import' section when setting up an import, here you will need to click 'Show advanced options' next to 'updates to existing items'. In this drop down, at the bottom you will see tick boxes to include statuses for campaign, ad group, ads and keywords. You will need to untick campaign to ensure that campaign statuses do not update when the import runs.

For your convenience I have provided the steps below in order for you to edit your current scheduled import (New UI).

1 - Click 'Imports' via global menu at the top of the page, from the drop down select 'Import schedule & history'.

2- Under Scheduled imports, in the Action column, click 'Edit' next to the schedule you will like to update.

3 - You will now be prompted to log into your Google Ads account.

4 - Once logged in, navigate to the '**What to import'**section and click 'Show advanced options' next to 'updates to existing items'.

5 - At the bottom of the advanced options you will see the status updates, deselect the campaign option and complete the import.
