Why is MS Ads Import from google appending Google Campaign ID to the MS Campaign Name?

We noticed on one (and only one) of our accounts that Microsoft Ads Import from Google Ads is appending the Google Campaign ID on the MS Campaign names. We've verified there is no search/replace logic in place on the import advanced settings, scripts, or anywhere the campaign name could be altered.

So if we have a Google Campaign called "MyBestCampaign" and it's Google Campaign ID is 123456789, the campaign name in Microsoft appears as:
"MyBestCampaign-G123456789"

here is what it looks like (blurring for client privacy)

Hello Buzzmaven,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Advertising Community forum!

As you could notice, after your campaign name is your Google Campaign ID. There is nothing to be worry about. This is a new feature by design.

I can assure you it will not affect your campaigns negatively but helps in the campaign mapping process during imports.

I will send you a private message to assist you  further with your query.

Sincerely,

Dagmara | Microsoft Advertising Support | 1(800)-518-5689
