Hello,

Does anyone has any experience opening an advertising account for a business that is registered in Hong Kong. I'm just starting out and my target markets for CPA-marketing purposes will be USA , initially.

Welcome your tips.

Thanks!

Hi EL_998,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Advertising Forum. I hope you are well

I am pleased you have decided to advertise your business on our platform and I am certain you will accomplish the desired results you have set your sights on.

As kindly touched on by Gaetano, yes, currently there are no bumps in the road that would prevent you from advertising your Hong Kong based business. I am extremely happy to provide you with tips on getting your account up and running, and any other relevant guidance along the way.

Once your account has been created, in order for your ads to run you will need to setup a payment method, and with the different markets and business addresses, the options will differ based on these factors. Please visit this link for Choosing a payment method for Microsoft Advertising.

If the payment has been chosen and you need to upload your content, you will now be in position to either manually create or import the content from Google Ads. If you would like to import from Google Ads, please follow the steps below:

Import from Google Ads

  1. From the global menu at the top of the page, select Import and then select Import from Google Ads.
  2. Select Sign in to Google and follow the prompts to give Microsoft Advertising permission to import campaigns from your Google Ads account.
  3. Under Choose accounts, select the account that you want to import from Google Ads and then select Next.
  4. Select Customize your import if you want to choose which items are imported, adjust bids, bid strategies, and budgets, associate UET tags, and more. If you don't require customizations then you can enter the import name, set the schedule, and then select Start import to finish the setup. We'll fine tune the import settings and automate the schedule so that your campaigns do their best on Microsoft Advertising.

The majority of items are imported from Google Ads, however we highly recommend you review all data after you import to ensure any differences are amended to suit your ideal set up. You can also view specifically what we suggest to keep a close eye on, so it would be beneficial to bookmark this help page.

When navigating through the helpful links I have shared, you will be in view of other relevant links that will provide you with priceless guides/tips on anything Microsoft Advertising related, so please check out any of the sub links you may come across.

I understand that setting up accounts and the content within it may be quite daunting, or relatively straight forward based on previous experience, however I have sent you a private message where we can schedule a call and I can deliver on hand guidance with your account and alternative questions you would like to resolve.

I wish you all the best moving forward.

Kind regards,

Damian | Microsoft Advertising Support Specialist | 800-518-5689

    Hi.

There is no limitation in opening an account of a company based in Hong Kong and then advertise in US.

    So...good luck!

    Gaetano
