Tools in Microsoft Advertising for creating, editing, and optimizing ad campaigns
Hello Bernd,
Thank you for using our Microsoft Advertising Community Forum!
I understand you want each ad group to contain only very closely related products to more effectively manage which ads show in your shopping campaign. However, I don't recommend setting it on campaign settings. The best way will be creating product groups.
With product groups you can narrow down that default group to a customized list of specific products.
You can use the following attributes from your feed to choose the specific products you want to include in any particular product group.
- Category (Up to five for each offer)
- Brand
- Condition
- Item ID (Also known as Merchant Product Identifier)
- Product type
- Custom label (Up to five for each offer)
You can create a product group based on brand and condition. This attribute allows narrowing your group even further.
How to create ad group:
- In the type list from the left pane, select Ads and extensions>Product ads.
- In the data view, select the ad group in which you want to create new ads from
- In the data view, select Make multiple changes > Add/update multiple product ads.
