Hello John Marr1,

Thank you for contacting the Microsoft Advertising Community forum!

I am very sorry to hear about your store rejection. Please see information below, why you are receiving information provided above.

While creating a Merchant Center store, advertisers might get rejection due to incorrectly provided URL (e.g. Duplicate URLs, unclaimed URLs and redirects). It's important that any URLs you create must match exactly across Bing and Microsoft Advertising tools.

URL is already in use/duplicate store: Two or more stores are registered with the same domain.

It’s mean your store has been rejected because it is already registered with the same domain name **** or there is an existing store registered with their account ID.

Unfortunately, Microsoft Advertising do not allow duplicate stores (named or owned) to be active simultaneously. If you have another Microsoft Advertising Account with Merchant Center where the URL is already in use, you will have to deactivate the store.

If you have access to another Microsoft Advertising account containing a Merchant Center store where the URL is already in use, you may access the other account to deactivate the store if they choose.

If you do not have the option described above, follow these steps:

  1. Go to theMerchant Center Admin in the Merchant Center user interface (UI) and insert the store URL you are trying to use.
  2. If there is another store using the same URL, go into the store and check the Historytab.
  3. If it seems like the store has been inactive for a while (a likely scenario), add "duplicate" in front of the store URL in the Store Settingstab to deactivate the store URL.

Example: https://bingshopping.com would become https://duplicate.bingshopping.com

  1. The store URL will now be free for you to use.
  2. Let the account manager know the store URL has been freed, and let the advertiser retry creating the store.

You already claimed your domain in Bing Webmaster Tools but is receiving an error and unable to create a store.

It’s mean that the domain might not be correctly claimed as thought.

  1. Make sure that the Microsoft account used to create the Merchant Center store is active in Bing Webmaster Tool.
  2. Check if you used the same Microsoft account to successfully log in to both Microsoft Advertising and Bing Webmaster Tool.

**Note:**Logging into Bing Webmaster Tool generates a profile that is required to set up the connection between Bing Webmaster Tool and Microsoft Advertising.

  1. Make sure that the claimed URL exactly matches the Merchant Center store destination URL.
  2. Check that the URL specified as the destination URL in the Merchant Center store > Store Settings exactly matches the URL claimed in Bing Webmaster Tool.

Important: In Bing Webmaster Tool, contoso.com would not match www.contoso.com in the Merchant Center store. Even the exclusion of a trailing / (slash) will prevent a match. If the error persists after completing the above steps further investigation is needed.

Website URL redirect

The destination URL must point to the actual URL of the store so when the URL specified as the destination URL in the Store Settingstab of the Merchant Center redirects to a different URL, the store will be denied.

I hope you find this reply informative. I will send you a private message to assist you further as I need account specific information.
