My laptop will not recognize or display to an HDMI cable, regardless of everything I try

I have tried everything I can think of. I have disabled, uninstalled, reinstalled display drivers (after trying the default microsoft one), tried multiple different cables, after knowing the other cables work 100%. I have checked for system updates, everything is up to date. No matter what I do, my laptop will not detect my monitor. I've had this issue in the past, but it would always seem to go away after a while. When I ask to "detect other displays", nothing is found, despite the cable being clearly plugged in. Even after hitting Win+P, selecting an option, and closing the window, it always reverts back to "PC screen only" option. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

    Check the HDMI Port: If possible, test another monitor or TV to rule out a faulty port.

    Try a Hard Reset: Shut down your laptop, unplug it, remove the battery (if removable), then hold the power button for 30 seconds. Restart and test again.

    Change Display Settings: Go to Display settings > Advanced Display settings, and manually set the refresh rate to match your monitor’s specs.

    Check Graphics Control Panel: If you have Intel, Nvidia, or AMD graphics, open their control panel and see if your monitor is detected.

    Run Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters > Video playback.

    BIOS/UEFI Check: Some laptops have display settings in BIOS. Restart and check if the external display is enabled.
