Is there a way to show feed in post creation order desc in Viva Engage?

Hello,

We have recently transitioned from Meta Workplace to Viva Engage.

As many of our users were accustomed to the feed behavior in Workplace, they have raised concerns regarding how the feed is displayed in Viva Engage. Specifically, the posts are not appearing in descending order of their creation time, which is causing confusion and impacting user experience.

Is there a way to configure the feed—both on the home page and within individual communities—to display posts in descending chronological order (i.e., newest posts first)?

This would help improve user adoption and make the experience more intuitive for our team.

Please let me know if there is any workaround to mitigate this issue for now.

    Hi @Hasnu Zama
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand your concern. The home feed uses an algorithm to rank and sort content based on its relevance to you. By design, the feed does not display chronologically, the time since a message was posted is a key factor in their ranking process. For more information, please refer to Viva Engage Explained: The Feed | Microsoft Community Hub

Currently, I haven't found any workaround for this issue yet. I agree that having the ability to sort posts by the most recent in Viva Engage feed will benefit the users and we kindly encourage you to submit your feedback to Microsoft through the Ideas · Community. User feedback can occasionally influence future updates and feature enhancements.

Thank you for your understanding. Have a great day!
