HI

i get emails from an SNMP in the below format

Issue

Resolved

they come in as 2 seperate emails - and are already ruled to go strait to that store's Folder on Outlook

But how do i create a rule that will cancel out the first one - so you are only left with the email / issue that is not resolved?

I was thinking that creating a rule that if an email contains a specific word, it will empty out the entire folde r- but even that i am struggling with - HELP!!!

TIA

If I may simplify your question - Using Rules, you want to delete an existing item from a folder when a similar, but different, item arrives in the Inbox?

If so, then I do not know any way to do this using standard Rules.

If you are using Outlook Classic, this could be done with custom VBA code and the Run A Script Rule action. https://www.slipstick.com/outlook/rules/outlooks-rules-and-alerts-run-a-script/
