We are using the Azure Pipelines app to receive posts to a Teams channel when builds complete, fail, etc. We have subscribed using the app. This worked for a period of time, but it is not working any longer. The issue began on 29 April 2025. I've tried logging out and logging back in, unsubscribing and resubscribing, but we still are not receiving the posts we expect.

    Hi Mike Navin

Could you please follow the below steps to resolve this issue:

    1. Verify the Subscription settings by navigating to Azure DevOps -> Project settings -> Service hooks, and check if the Azure Pipelines – Teams subscription is still active and correctly configured. If it exists, try recreating the subscription to refresh it.
    2. In Teams, go to Manage Apps and ensure the Azure Pipelines app is permitted and not disabled. Open the Teams Channel Settings and verify if the app still has permission to post messages.
    3. Ensure you must be part of the Project Administrator group to set Azure Pipelines subscription with Microsoft Teams.
    4. In the service hook settings, find the Event History or Log section. Here, you can see failed events and click on them to view error messages. Try re-triggering a recent event to see if Teams receives it. If the failures continue, consider reconfiguring the service hook or re-authenticating Microsoft Teams.
    5. Since this issue began on April 29, please check if any updates for Microsoft Teams, Azure Pipelines, or Azure DevOps were implemented around that time. If you are using a corporate Teams environment, confirm with IT whether any security policies have changed.
    6. Go to Azure DevOps -> Project Settings -> Notifications. Review the notification rules you've set up for build completions, failures, etc., and ensure they are configured to send messages to the correct Teams channel. Also, verify that you are subscribed to the correct build events (success, failure, etc.).
    7. If you are using an API key or service connection to link Azure DevOps to Teams, ensure that the API key or service connection is still valid and has not expired or been revoked. If necessary, generate a new API key or token and update it in both Teams and Azure Pipelines.

And there seems to be an ongoing issue with Azure Pipelines not sending notifications to Teams channels since April 29, 2025. Users have reported similar problems - so monitoring updates might be helpful
