Create a shared calendar based on dynamic groups

Our organisation has around 500 people. We are looking to create a organisation-wide shared calendar. We have been thinking about making a shared mailbox, but since you can't add dynamic groups to mailboxes, we would need to add each individual user account to the mailbox.

Is it possible to make a shared calendar in Sharepoint where only users in a certain dynamic group can have access to it?

You can create a shared calendar in SharePoint that's accessible only to members of a specific dynamic group. Here's how to implement this solution:

Add a Calendar list: In your SharePoint site, go to Site Contents → New → List Choose "Calendar" template Configure your calendar columns as needed
Set permissions:

Go to List Settings → Permissions for this list

Stop inheriting permissions from the parent site

Remove existing permissions

Add your dynamic security group with "Edit" or "Contribute" permissions
