Receiving Azure Event Emails in French Despite Language Settings Set to German/English

Hi everyone,

I'm repeatedly receiving event invitations and course announcements from [****@email.microsoft.com]** – however, all of them are in French, and the events themselves are only offered in French as well.

This is a problem because I don't speak French, and I've double-checked all my account settings:

  • My Microsoft Account language is set to German (Switzerland).

My Azure Portal settings are set to English (Switzerland).

My Office/Microsoft 365 settings are also in German or English.

Even on learn.microsoft.com, I’ve manually selected English.

Despite all this, I continue to receive French-language communications. I’ve also checked email preferences and regional settings in my account and event pages, but nothing seems to change the language of the Azure-related emails.

Could this be caused by a default regional assignment (e.g. Switzerland → Romandy), or an old event registration in French?

I would really appreciate if someone from Microsoft or the community could help:

How can I force these emails to come in German or English instead of French?

Is there a specific preference portal or support contact I should reach out to?

    the best option is to open a support request with Azure Support:
