PXE Boot | Entra ID | Intune

Hi everyone,

I’m at the very beginning of setting up a network-based deployment solution in a corporate environment and would really appreciate some help getting started.

🌐 What I'm Trying to Achieve

• Set up PXE boot using a Synology NAS (for DHCP and TFTP services).

Capture device hardware hashes and enroll them in Microsoft Intune via Windows Autopilot.

Ideally, I’d like to understand if deployment over WiFi is possible for laptops that don’t have Ethernet ports.

📦 My Environment

Synology NAS available on the local network

Microsoft Intune tenant is ready

Devices to be deployed are Windows laptops (some only have WiFi)

❓ What I Need Help With

PXE Boot Setup: How do I configure PXE boot using Synology NAS?

Hardware Hash Capture: How do I capture device hardware hashes for Autopilot enrollment?

Integration with Intune: Once I have the hashes, how do I upload and configure profiles in Intune for automatic deployment?

WiFi Boot Feasibility: Is it possible to PXE boot or use Autopilot over WiFi? If not, what are the recommended workarounds (e.g., bootable USBs that connect to WiFi)?

End-to-End Workflow: If someone has a working setup, a step-by-step overview or any resources/scripts would be incredibly helpful.
