the Webmix VM (192.168.25.9) cannot connect to Azure backup

To resolve your issue. Please follow the below troubleshooting steps:

Step1:

If the VM doesn't connect as expected, check whether outbound communication over ports 80, 443, and 32526 is open in your local firewall on the VM. If this IP address is blocked, the VM agent might display unexpected behavior.

Step2:

The following error appears in the var/log/waagent.log file when the VM can't reach the WireServer IP on the host server.

To resolve this issue:

Connect to the VM by using SSH, then run following command to test the connectivity between the VM and the WireServer. The root privilege is required to run the command.

Check for any issues that might be caused by a firewall, a proxy, or another source that might be blocking access to the IP address 168.63.129.16.

• Check whether Linux IPTables or a third-party firewall is blocking access to ports 80, and 32526.

Step3:
If you are using Firewall i.e Routable/UDR. You need to allow wire server ip and the ports mentioned in the Firewall

Adding Additional Information to @Naveena Patlolla

Please access the virtual machine, navigate to its properties, and check the agent status as shown below. If the status is not "Ready," kindly stop and start the VM or redeploy it.

Additionally, let us know if the OS-level firewall is enabled on the VM.

Please try running a telnet test to 168.63.129.16 over port 80 and share the results. Also, confirm if any antivirus software is installed on the machine.
