New to Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub, and have an allocation of credits within this program. We want to port existing Openshift Container based Python app over to AKS (presumably), so we can have it placed in the Marketplace. Is it possible to use the allocated Startup credits for developer services to accomplish this port / migration?

    Hi Emery Freeman,

The credits provided through the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub are mainly intended to help startups build and grow their products using the Azure platform. These credits can be used for a wide range of Azure services, including cloud computing, AI tools, and development platforms. In addition, members get access to tools like GitHub Enterprise, Microsoft 365, and Visual Studio.

However, these credits are not specifically meant to cover the cost of hiring external development or professional services. They are primarily for Azure services and related tools to support your technical development.

In your case, if you're planning to migrate an existing OpenShift Container-based Python app to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and list it on the Azure Marketplace, you can definitely use your Azure credits to cover the costs of the necessary Azure services involved in that process. If you require external development support for the migration itself, those services would generally not be covered by the credits.
