    Hi @Naveenkumar Ramasamy

ERROR "Internal service error occurred, please retry, or contact Microsoft support."

Typically indicates an internal backend issue in Microsoft Purview and not necessarily a misconfiguration in your environment. That said, there are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

    Recommended Troubleshooting

Microsoft provides specific guidance on this scenario in their official documentation. You can find the detailed troubleshooting steps here:

    Official Doc: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/unified-catalog-data-quality-troubleshooting#my-dq-scan-job-failed-i-see-an-error-message-internal-service-error-occurred-please-retry-or-contact-microsoft-support-what-should-i-do-to-troubleshoot
Key suggestions from the doc include:

    • Retrying the scan after a short time (in case of transient issues).
    • Reviewing the job logs and status under the “Monitor” tab in Purview.
    • Ensuring that your scan configuration and data source connectivity are valid.
    • Opening a support ticket if the issue persists, especially if it continues across multiple retries.

If retrying and reviewing logs don’t resolve the issue, it’s recommended to contact Microsoft Support and provide

The job run ID, Error timestamp, Region and source type.

I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.
