Windows Server 2025 Image backup will not restore.

Windows Server 2025 fully updated - stand alone. Running Hyper-V.

Performed a Windows Server backup to a NAS. All backup completed successfully.

On the same hardware, including the same size SSD and booting up to the same 2025 install USB I get a failure when performing a System Image Recovery.

The errors are:

Error 0x80042412 and error 0x80042403. I also attempted to restore to a Gen2 Hyper-V Server. Same results.

I will never use Windows back up again.
