How to recover my recent Outlook Notes that synchronized to an older version

I bought a new Mac and used the Migration Assistant to transfer all files and setup from my old Mac to the new one. Everything transferred ok, including my Hotmail (Exchange/Outlook) accounts: Mail, calendars all OK. When I checked my Exchange (Hotmail) Notes, on the new Mac, I also had the same number of Notes on the new machine as on the old one (389 Notes in total). Incidentally, I also have Exchange Notes set up on my iPhone, and realised that when I started making changes to a note on the iPhone, it didn't synchronised on my new Mac. To fix the problem I thought I'd just turn OFF then ON the Notes synchronisation on my new Mac. But then when it synchronized again, I realised it only synchronised 56 Notes instead of the 389 I had. The 56 Notes were old notes from 2 years ago and before, except one from last month. Unfortunately when I tried to see my Notes on other synchronised devices, I forgot to turn the internet off and all devices synchronized Exchange Notes to the 56 old ones. Is there any way to restore another version of synchronised Notes? (example: to my Notes from yesterday when I still had 389 of them)

    Hi FS,

    Welcome to our forum!

Here are some steps you may take:

    1. Switch to the old version of Outlook from the Help menu or toggle New Outlook from the top right if available.
    2. At same time, to confirm that the notes still exist, please go to Outlook on the web>Notes to check if they exist on OWA.
    3. Use Outlook's search box to retrieve notes by typing the words included in the disappearing notes.
    4. Check the deleted folder for missing notes and select all items you can to restore.

    Hope it helps.
