CONFIGURE MONITORINGIN SCOM - Issues with DMZ AWS servers
We have some AWS DMZ servers. Query is Ping response is required from Management Servers?
We are pinging the server but it is getting RTO.
Communication is through Certificate but it seems there is no mutual authentication happening.
The user is asking "Why are we leveraging Ping test for isolated environment when Networking and ISRM disabled ping on these environments. "
The server may not be pingable from your desktop machine or any other machine, as the ICMP protocol is not enabled in ACL. Telnet should be up and running between the two servers, but if not, it could be due to an issue with the firewall settings.
Apart from this what are other prerequisite to monitor the AWS DMZ servers?
Need your help on this.
