Where did you see the Rename resource account display location old name? Outlook Desktop client or somewhere else?
If the issue occurred in Outlook Desktop Client, please go to Outlook> File>Account Settings> Account Settings> Select your account>Change>Untick the “Use cached exchange mode” to change the Outlook Cached Mode to Online Mode and restart the outlook client.
In addition, it is suggested please update the Offline Address Book (OAB) manually. here are the detailed steps:
- Delete the previous OAB file. in your disk C: users%username%\appdata\local\microsoft\outlook> offline address book (OAB) file> delete it.
- Download the new OAB in the Outlook client. Click Send/Receive> Send/Receive Groups> Download address book”. Note: Donnot select ‘Download changes since last send/receive’.
