Is the Azure Maps API available in South Korea?

Hi team,

I am trying to use GetReverseGeocodingAsync from Azure Maps to fetch the user's address, city, state and country. But I am seeing System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException in Azure.Maps.Common.ChangeTrackingList`1.get_Item method. It works perfectly fine for all other regions including China, North Korea. However, it fails in South Korea region. This is completely blocking all our users in South Korea region. Do you suggest an alternate solution to this?

As of now, the Azure Maps API is not available in South Korea. This limitation also applies to China. However, Microsoft is working on expanding the availability of Azure Maps to these regions in the future.

If you need mapping services in South Korea, you might consider using Bing Maps for Enterprise, which provides worldwide coverage and is accessible from South Korea.

I am still looking for an alternative. The Bing maps you suggested will be soon deprecated. Please help.

If you need to use Azure Maps in South Korea, you can create a function app in Azure hosted in a region where the Azure Maps API is allowed (e.g., Central US). This function app can make HTTP calls to the Azure Maps API and return the results to your application
