Can I edit an excel doc in excel while another person edits, without them seeing my scrolling and filtering?

I am editing an excel sheet at the same time as another user. When I scroll up to early cells the coworker working on newer cells gets messed up because the screen scrolls on their end. Is there some way around this?

    Hi @Ormson, Kassi,

When using Excel's coauthoring feature, any changes you make, including scrolling and filtering, are visible to other users in real-time. Unfortunately, there is no built-in feature to prevent your scrolling or filtering actions from affecting what other users see on their screens.

One workaround is to use the AutoSave feature, which allows you to save your changes without immediately sharing them with others. However, this won't prevent them from seeing your actions like scrolling. The best approach is to communicate with your coworker about when you plan to scroll or filter, so they can be aware and adjust accordingly.
