I've been updating my Nvidia geforce 1060 6g video drivers about every 6 months. Recently when updating the Nvidia app responds with driver failed and the card does not show up in device manager, does anyone know what could be happening. The pc is booting, and the monitor is still showing windows TIA

I downloaded it from the official Nvidia website and told it to do a clean install. Seconds after starting to install it says failure to update. I tried several times but eventual went with windows update which did install an NVidia driver. unknown which version it is according to device manager.

Tried again with NVidia's latest driver only to fail.

    1. Ensure that your device is enrolled and compliant. You can check this by opening the Company Portal app or navigating to aka.ms/mydevicehealth.
    2. Follow the steps to download drivers using the GeForce Experience app. Make sure you select the correct drivers and check for updates.
    3. There are different types of Nvidia GPU drivers designed for specific use cases. Ensure you are using the correct driver for your needs. You can find more information on Nvidia's website.
