Hello! Im not sure where to ask, but there's something off with my keyboard (usb), which started about 30 minutes ago. I Tried restarting my pc and unplugging the keyboard twice, but it never worked. Every time I press a key, it'll be numbers or symbols. The back space puts in "-9" when I press it once, but if I press and hold, it keeps spamming the dash. The shift button does the @ symbol and the space bar does symbols before immediately entering. I'm now stuck on the password page, and can't do anything. When I press shift and another letter, it does random symbols and immediately enters. Before i restarted my pc, I couldnt enter anything into google. When i would type, it did the same as i descrived, but when i entered it, it deleted. I could only copy and paste things into the search bar. I've tried what I know, and I'm not sure what else to do. Help would be appreciated!!!

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A.

Based on the description, I understand your question is related to Problem with the keyboard (didn't know where else to ask).

Press the NumLock key or Fn + NumLock to disable it and see if that resolves the issue.

Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language and ensure your preferred language is selected. You can also switch between keyboard layouts by pressing Win + Spacebar.

Open Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager), find your keyboard under Keyboards, right-click, and select Update driver.

Try connecting an external keyboard to computer to see if the problem persists.

Go to Settings > Devices > Typing and look for an option to reset the keyboard settings.

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

    Molly
