Installation of the current version of WAC (2410) fails with above message ("The existing installation of windows admin center (v1) is to old for migration of data. Update to the latest version of windows admin center (v1) and try again").

There was an old version of WAC installed (I think 1.19.something) which i uninstalled, the error still stops the installation of the new version.

So I either need an installer for a intermediate version of wac to migrate the data or I need to remove all traces of WAC from my machine, I haven't found any ways to do either.

    Hello RobinJtte-7831,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

Here are a couple of steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. You can try installing an intermediate version of WAC to facilitate the migration of data. Unfortunately, specific older versions like 1.19.x are not readily available for download from official sources. However, you can check the Windows Admin Center release history for links to older versions. 2. To ensure all traces of the old WAC installation are removed, follow these steps:
    2. Uninstall WAC via Settings:
    3. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features.
    4. Find Windows Admin Center in the list and select Uninstall.
    5. Remove Remaining Files and Registry Entries.
    6. Delete Installation Directory: Navigate to the installation directory (usually C:\Program Files\Windows Admin Center) and delete it.
    7. Clean Registry Entries: Open Registry Editor (regedit) and search for any entries related to Windows Admin Center. Be cautious while editing the registry.
    8. Restart Your Computer.

Please note: Please back up all the important data and registry before you make any change.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou
