    Hi Pierre Robert1,

the error codes you provided indicate that there may be issues with the Windows Update service or the installation files themselves. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. Restart the Windows Update service:
    • Open the Services app by typing "services.msc" in the Start menu search bar and pressing Enter.
    • Scroll down to the Windows Update service and right-click on it.
    • Select "Restart" from the context menu.
    1. Run the Windows Update troubleshooter:
    • Open the Settings app by pressing Windows key + I.
    • Click on "Update & Security" and then select "Troubleshoot" from the left-hand menu.
    • Click on "Additional troubleshooters" and then select "Windows Update" from the list.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
    1. Clear the Windows Update cache:
    • Open the Services app by typing "services.msc" in the Start menu search bar and pressing Enter.
    • Scroll down to the Windows Update service and right-click on it.
    • Select "Stop" from the context menu.
    • Open File Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.
    • Delete all the files and folders in this folder.
    • Go back to the Services app and right-click on the Windows Update service again.
    • Select "Start" from the context menu.

    Hope it helps.

    Best regards,

    Lei

This was already done. (Reset Windows Update Components, etc)

And i also download the patch from Windows Catalog with success.

    But the install not succeed

i also see that previous version of "cumulative update" was also failed to install in the history.

Maybe you need to perform a repair installation.

Please note that back up important files before performing the repair installation.

This is what fixed it for me

    Delete everything under c:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download

Delete the following registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Component Based Servicing\Packages\Package_for_RollupFix~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~20348.1850.1.11

If you don't have that exact key, look for one with a similarly named starting Package_for_RollupFix but don't confuse it with the Package_for_DotNetRollup ones!

    Reboot

    Try installing the updates again

I can't believe how much time I wasted on this, watching video after video saying run sfc /scannow. sfc has NEVER fixed any of my problems!
