I am stuck displaying SP List items in a SP webpart, does anyone have any idea how to debug?

Hi,
I am trying to create a WebPart which displays items of a List in a certain format. So far I have tried anything that came to my mind, but now my ressources that I can find on the internet are either not working at all or not very helpful in that exact matter.
If someone has any idea how to approach this I can send the code I have so far, I would just need to blank out the parts that are sensitive data.
