Hi,
I am trying to enable Table Access control in one of my Azure Databricks Compute Cluster, the cluster was created around 02 years back with pricing tier selected as Standard, now we have upgraded the same cluster to Premium tier in order to leverage features like SQL Warehouses and Serverless compute.
This cluster is un Prod environment and i want to restrict the table access for few users. as per the documentation, it is suggested to below steps to enable table access control:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/databricks/data-governance/table-acls/table-acl

  1. Navigate to the Cluster Configuration: Go to the Databricks workspace and navigate to the cluster you are using.

2. Edit Cluster Configuration: Click on the cluster name to open its configuration page and then click on the "Edit" button.

3. Enable Table Access Control: In the cluster configuration settings, look for the "Advanced Options" section. Under "Security", enable the "Table Access Control" option.

4. Restart the Cluster: After enabling TAC, you will need to restart the cluster for the changes to take effect.

Still i am not able to see the option, please help me to understand what is that i am missing out.

Regards

Satish

Ask: Table Access control option is not available in Azure Databricks Compute cluster

Solution: Issue is now resolved, unity catalog option is not available because the workspace was created 04 years back and recently, we upgraded this workspace from standard to premium. The feature is available in newly created workspaces with premium pricing tier. For old workspace Databricks Admin can create new workspace and add the old workspace to new one. After this you can see the Unity catalog feature under advance option of all purpose cluster.

If I missed anything please let me know and I'd be happy to add it to my answer, or feel free to comment below with any additional information.
