We have SCOM 2019. For linux server monitoring we are using scx 1.6.8-1 version. Right now we are upgrading our linux servers to RHEL 9. Will the scx 1.6.8-1 version be suitable for that or do we have to use any other version.

Also is there any documentation, as i looked but couldn't find any help on that.

I also see that the OMS agent has been deprecated on August 31st, do we need to install the Azure Monitor Agent instead ?

Regards,

Ravi

    Hi,

    • RHEL 9 is supported from Operations Manager 2022 UR1 and later when you apply this hotfix.
    • Manually update the OpenSSH version in your environment to >= 8.7p1-29 to monitor RHEL 9.1 servers.

You can download the latest SCX agent from the official Microsoft GitHub repository. This repository provides RPM and DEB packages for various Linux distributions, including support for RHEL 9.
