I am currently working on deploying Dell Command | Update for Windows Universal version 5.4.0 via SCCM. All PCs already have Dell Command | Update for Windows Universal version 5.2.0 installed.

My deployment script is designed to first uninstall the old version before installing the new one. However, I am encountering error 1603 during this process.

Upon checking Apps & features, I noticed that there are two Dell applications listed (as shown in the image below). The uninstallation step only removes Dell Command | Update for Windows Universal, while the second app, Dell Command | Update, remains.

The package I used for deployment is as follows:

if you can help?

thanks in advance

    Hi, @Mirna Najim

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

Upon checking Apps & features, I noticed that there are two Dell applications listed (as shown in the image below).

We cannot see the image, could you add the image for us?

The error 1603 may means you so not uninstall the old version correctly, so it failed to install the new version.

So you may need to check your script to make sure it can uninstall the old version totally.
