Hello,

we are trying to transfer domain from Azure to a different service provider and would like to know what will be process of approval from Azure as its shows "Domain transfer in progress: Waiting for the current registrar (Azure) to approve the transfer."

how will we know if its approved or not.
how to speed up the process.

To transfer a domain from Azure, the approval process can take up to 5-7 days, depending on the current registrar's policies. You can monitor the transfer status through your new provider’s dashboard or the domain's WHOIS records. To speed up the process, ensure you've unlocked the domain and provided the correct authorization code (EPP). If it's still pending, you can contact Azure support directly to request expedited approval.

You have to wait up to 5-7 days for the transfer to be complete.

Check that the domain is unlocked for transfer.

how will we know if its approved or not.

You get the confirmation email owner of the domain.

how to speed up the process.

Get the authorization code from your registrar Go to your registrar and get the transfer authorization code. Check that the domain is unlocked for transfer.

I have performed the below step and got the azure dns unlocked.
Invoke-AzRestMethod -Path "/subscriptions/<SUBSCRIPTION-ID>/resourceGroups/<RESOURCE-GROUP-NAME>/providers/Microsoft.DomainRegistration/domains/<DOMAIN-NAME>/transferout?api-version=2021-02-01" -Method PUT

got the "authcode" used it to transfer the domain.

got the comment from desired service provider : "Domain transfer in progress: Waiting for the current registrar to approve the transfer. This can take up to 10 days depending on the TLD and the current registrar.

I tried to create a ticket in Azure Support however it was not successful.
